Jodi Cleghorn is Co-founder of eMergent Publishing and Managing Editor of Chinese Whisperings.
Enscounced in the suburbs of Brisbane with her partner (patron-of-the-arts),gemini son, geriatric cat, pacifist fish and charasmatic chicken “madame houdini”, she is influenced by theme (and the voices in her head). Her stories fly under the thematic banners of love, loss, betrayal, the dynamics of power, time travel and the eternal question what if?
In 2008 she was heard to utter “but I don’t write sci-fi”. Little does any one know, she also thought “a weird-arsed pirate adventure serial, with a twist of feminism, a dash of brutality, a sprinkling of the supernatural, a tiny of dose of romance and lots of swashbuckling swordfights is another thing I don’t write.”
She was lured aboard the La Gongoozler by a Captain and crew who claim they do not possess the power of mind reading, and has been aboard ever since.
